Dell's China spend

DELL Inc is to spend more than US$100 billion in China over the next decade, including Chinese procurement and a new manufacturing plant in Chengdu.

Dell, the world's No. 2 personal computer maker, is developing a manufacturing and customer support center in the West Chengdu High-Tech Park. The new center is expected to be operational in 2011.

The United States-based firm also plans to open an additional office in Xiamen later this year to support its projected growth needs in north Asia and globally.
