Financial probe
CHINA Mobile yesterday said Lu Xiangdong, its executive director and vice president, is assisting judicial authorities in the investigation of suspected financial issues.
The company will make further announcements when appropriate, it said in a statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange, declining to provide any more details.
The announcement came after the South China Morning Post yesterday said, citing an unidentified assistant to company spokesman Zhang Xuan, China Mobile was checking on speculation that two senior executives were under detention for a graft investigation.
