THE International Forum on City Informatization, due to open on Saturday in Shanghai, will focus on information technology's impact on urbanization and the development of a green economy.
Government and industry officials will exchange ideas on how to shape the city's information infrastructure and extensive applications of IT.
Minister of Technology Wan Gang will make a keynote speech and other government officials from the United Nations as well as Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information will also be present.
Company representatives includes executives from International Business Machine, Neusoft, Digital China Holdings, Hewlett-Packard and Huawei.
