Gaopeng cuts staff
GAOPENG, Groupon's joint venture in China, is said to be laying off staff as competition forces it to cut costs.
Gaopeng has been sacking employees continuously and groups of people have been leaving the company since July, the 21st Century Business Herald reported.
Gaopeng's public relations agency yesterday said: "Gaopeng is adjusting its staff as a regular process and some new employees have also left the company after failing to meet the standard during their trial period."
