HTC Corp yesterday said it has named Ray Yam as HTC China president for marketing and operations.
Yam previously took senior positions in top handset firms in the Chinese market, such as LG China president and Motorola China president.
Through Yam's rich experience in mobile communications industry in China, HTC can help the local team to expand the smartphone market in China, the world's biggest mobile phone market.
In July, HTC debuted its own brand on the Chinese mainland to replace its former Dopod brand.
