HTC sees lower income

HTC yesterday forecast lower-than-expected revenue in the second quarter after a disappointing launch of its new model, as the firm struggles to compete with Apple and Samsung.
HTC predicted sales of between NT$46 billion and NT$51 billion (US$1.35 billion and US$1.65 billion) in the three months through June.
That is up from NT$41.52 billion in the previous quarter, but down up to 30 percent from NT$65.06 billion a year ago.
