High-Tech Park Looks For Innovation
SHANGHAI Zhangjiang High-Tech Park, often called the city's Silicon Valley, will focus on developing innovative companies like those in the digital publication and new energy sectors, a park official said yesterday.
"We plan to launch a series of policies to support the high-tech industry development in the park," Ding Lei, vice director of the park's administrative committee, said yesterday. "The polices will include ways to attract talent and investment."
The park has received government approval to become a national base for digital publications and software exports.
Firms with strong research and sales abilities in these sectors have set up in the park, including game giant Shanda Entertainment and web video provider PPLive.
