Huawei’s profit rises

HUAWEI Technologies’ net profit in 2015 jumped 33 percent from a year ago as China’s biggest telecommunications equipment maker rode on the popularity of 4G networks globally and tapped booming smartphone sales.
Huawei posted net earnings of 36.9 billion yuan (US$5.7 billion) last year, it said yesterday. Its revenue surged 37 percent year on year to 395 billion yuan.
