IC revenue to recover
REVENUE in Shanghai's integrated circuit industry is expected to rebound this year on the back of a booming semiconductor market that is fueled by the next-generation telecommunications network and chip design sectors, industry officials said yesterday at a forum.
Speakers at the SSIP 2010 (International Symposium on IP-Reused Technology) forum also said that Chinese IC firms should enhance their self-innovation expertise to reduce dependence on intellectual property owned by foreign companies and to make the industry more competitive in global markets.
