IT hiring spree

SHANGHAI'S information technology employees will hit 600,000 in 2015, almost double the current level, which will boost the IT revenue of the city, the local industry regulator said yesterday. By 2015, information technology service revenue will hit 600 billion yuan (US$95 billion) in the city, up 50 percent from 2011.
It will account for 16 percent of the country's total IT revenue of 4 trillion yuan then, according to the Shanghai Commission of Economy and Information Technology.
