Intel sees no decline in PC sales
SALES of personal computers in China this year are expected to be in line with 2013 levels, the world’s biggest computer chipmaker Intel Corp said yesterday in Shanghai.
Intel expects Chinese PC sales this year not to fall any further after a 9 percent drop last year due to keener competition from smartphones and tablets.
The number and range of PCs and tablets sold in China jumped seven times now compared with a year ago, said Yu Zhe, Intel’s general manager for east China region.
He added that the majority of them feature Intel chips and new functions.
