LinkedIn to recruit talent for state firms

CHINESE state-owned firms will recruit high-level talent from abroad through LinkedIn, the world’s largest business social network.

LinkedIn, with more than 400 million users globally, announced that it was cooperating with Beijing-based CIIC, or the China International Intellectech Corp, one of the biggest state-owned human resource firms in the country.

Both sides will work on cross-border talent exchange and share resources and data. LinkedIn will help state-owned firms, including giants like telecommunications carriers and energy firms, to recruit high-level talents. The cooperation is expected to bring talent resources to China, especially for firms seeking global expansion, said Zhou Qiang, general manager of CIIC.

LinkedIn has 17 million users in China since it launched a Chinese-language website in 2014. Both sides will also cooperate on Big Data, consulting and brand promotion services.

In 2015, LinkedIn signed a cooperation deal with Shanghai government to help the city become a global technology and science center.
