Neusoft seeks to tap growth
NEUSOFT Corp aims to double its overseas revenue proportion to 60 percent in the next 10 years as it seeks to tap growing market opportunities in auto electronics, digital medical and mobile segments, the Shanghai-listed software giant said yesterday.
Shenyang-based Neusoft also aims to triple its work force in Shanghai next year for its newly-built software park in Shanghai, said Liu Jiren, the firm's chairman and chief executive.
"We want to establish Neusoft as a real world-class software and IT service firm in the next decade," Liu said during the company's 20th anniversary celebration ceremony held in Shanghai.
Over the next 10 years, Neusoft aims to boost its revenue fivefolds and expects overseas revenue to account for 60 percent of its total against 33 percent now by expanding in the United States, Japan, Germany and Finland, Liu said.
Neusoft work force is set to grow to 3,000 when a new Neusoft Software Center comes into operation in 2012 from more than 1,000 now. Within 10 years, it will reach 6,000.
But Neusoft's increasing human resource cost is raising worries.
The rising cost may slow Neusoft's future development, said a report from Guotai Junan Securities, which forecast Neusoft's revenue in 2011 at 5.85 billion yuan (US$900 million), up from 4.93 billion yuan last year.
