ONLINE spending in China is expected to rise 48 percent this year to exceed 1 trillion yuan (US$146 billion), the Data Center of the China Internet said in a report yesterday.
The figure reached 473 billion yuan in the first half as the number of net users added nearly 10 percent to 420 million by the end of June and the popularity of online shopping persuaded more people to buy goods online.
