Philips, Betty team up to boost healthy lifestyle
IN recent years, food safety has become a critical need for Chinese consumers. To meet the demand for a healthy approach for cooking and cuisine, Philips Consumer Lifestyle announced its partnership with Betty’s Kitchen earlier this year, as its first strategic cooperation initiated with a media partner in China.
According to Winston Phua, vice president of Philips Consumer Lifestyle Greater China, “Philips Kitchen Appliances has long been a trendsetter for consumers and a leader in the industry. Meanwhile, Betty’s Kitchen is an influential cross-media lifestyle information platform that focuses on promoting local foods and a healthy lifestyle. Our common vision and values have led to our first strategic cooperation, which aims to create healthy lifestyles and improve people’s lives through cooking and kitchen innovations.”
Innovation is part of Philips’ DNA. The company’s commitment to improving people’s lives through meaningful innovation has guided it through a transformative decade. Philips has evolved into a diversified health and well-being company, and its Consumer Lifestyle division continues to provide global consumers with solutions tailored to their local culture, environment, and needs for healthy lifestyles.
With the growth of the China market, Philips has adopted China as its “Home Market” and has relocated the upstream teams to Shanghai to facilitate the “End to End” value creation that integrates R&D, production, sales, and marketing in China.
This will help Philips to develop even more products that truly satisfy local consumers’ needs and to bring these products to market at a faster pace.
