Samsung sells S6 models

SAMSUNG Electronics started sales of its latest Galaxy S flagship models in China yesterday, which are seen as directly challenging Apple Inc’s iPhone 6.
The high-end Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge models, starting from 5,088 yuan (US$820), reflected Samsung’s ambition to reclaim its crown as the undisputed global smartphone leader.
The models, featuring slim body and wireless charging, started selling in major cities including Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. The models were also available on JD.com, China’s biggest online electronics retailer.
The gold S6 Edge, the most popular smartphone among all Samsung new models, got over 4,000 online orders within one hour since it was available yesterday, according to Samsung and JD.com.
