The Chinese mainland’s LCD panel makers will start operating several more technologically-advanced plants in 2014 and 2015 to manufacture larger LCD screens at more competitive prices, a Taiwan-based research firm said yesterday. These plants with advanced production lines will help the mainland catch up with South Korea and Taiwan in the global LCD industry, TrendForce said.
