At the end of August 2011, Shanghai Mobile Multilingual Service Hotline held an exclusive appreciation party at Tong Le Fang located in Jing'an District to express its gratitude to foreign customers. The multilingual service hotline by China Mobile Group Shanghai Co., Ltd., featured by its two leading 10086 and 12580 services offered in the five languages of English, Japanese, German, French Korean, is a dual-channel, multilingual and multifunctional hotline dedicated to delivering daily information inquiry assistance like mobile services, traffic routes, catering and entertainment, travel and online interpretation among others.
This event was the first appreciation party held by Shanghai Mobile tailored for foreign customers. Nearly 70 guests and their family members from various countries such as the U.S., U.K., Japan, Singapore and North Africa attended the activity. The employees of the Multilingual Service Hotline hosted a well-organized event, which created a pleasant and comfort atmosphere for interaction and communication between the organizer and guests. The event organizer especially prepared this round-table party to fully demonstrate the development of mobile communication services as well as the features and advantages of multilingual services through mobile videos and PPT presentations.
The honored guests feasted on western-style buffets, listened to music performances by Chinese traditional bands and played interactive games concerning mobile services. Among the games an activity, called "Paint Your Heart," invited every guest to paint his or her impressions of the 10086 and 12580 hotlines on a balloon. All participants delivered various creative works, including: a hotline logo-shaped world map symbolizing Shanghai Mobile's premier international service; a cute panda formed by the two zeros in "10086" and showcasing pure Chinese characteristics; and an enormous smiling face expressing high customer satisfaction. Besides, the interactive SMS quiz game "Yes or no" also heated up the party and the game winners came to the stage to share interesting stories and pleasant experiences they have had while accessing mobile communicating services.
Additionally, every guest highly recognized this interactive event and received exclusive and creative souvenir pictures customized by the activity organizer. At the end of the party, every participant completed a survey, designed to give advice on points of further improvement by Multilingual Service Hotlines, while contributing to valuable customer resources as well.
