SHANGHAI’S game industry is set to continue to account for about one third of the national game revenue in 2015, an industry report said yesterday.
In 2014, Shanghai’s game industry revenue hit 37.7 billion yuan (US$6.1 billion), up 47.7 percent year on year. It took up 32.9 percent of the national game revenue and it’s likely to continue contributing about one third of the country’s national game revenue this year, according to CNG (Chinanews Game) Research, a government-authorized game research organization.
Shanghai’s mobile game income jumped 154.7 percent to 5.58 billion yuan in 2014.
