Strategy unveiled
SHANGHAI Internet Software Co plans to invest 50 million yuan (US$7.4 million) on cloud computing in the government and health-care sectors, it said yesterday.
It was the first local firm to unveil a cloud computing strategy after Shanghai announced a strategy for the technology in August, with total investment of 300 million yuan, said Xu Yiling, marketing director of the Shanghai Promotion Center of Software Industry.
Cloud computing is an Internet-based technology for people to share resources and help users to cut IT spending and lift work efficiency.
