According to Taibao.com, a subsidiary of Alibaba Group, the website has removed 47 million product listings in the first half this year.
The collaboration between Taobao and IACC includes utilizing available technologies to improve the efficiency of identifying and reporting of fake goods sold online and developing educational materials for online buyers and vendors.
Taobao and its parent company have stepped up efforts to remove products with sensitive patent issues but a large number of patent and brand piracies remain unpunished.
Earlier this month, it started to work with the Motion Picture Association to identify and remove listings of counterfeit audio and visual products.
