XIAOMI Corp yesterday announced the launch of its new operating system, which is available from today.
The new MIUI 7 system offers data roaming services and battery improvements, the company said.
Xiaomi, which has 150 million customers worldwide, also yesterday launched its new entry-level handset, the Redmi Note 2. The model, which has a 5.5-inch screen, 13-mega-pixel camera and eight-core processor, is priced from 799 yuan (US$125).
