CHINA'S ZTE Corp, a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, has signed a Long Term Evolution trial agreement with PT Telekomunikasi Selular (Telkomsel), Indonesia's largest mobile operator, a press statement said in Jakarta yesterday.
According to the deal, ZTE will provide LTE solutions to roll out Telkomsel's LTE trial network starting from last month.
As the leading supplier for Telkomsel's Universal Mobile Telecommunication System networks, ZTE's advanced Software Defined Radio technology will seamlessly upgrade the 2G/3G service to LTE, and will greatly reduce the network construction cost for Telkomsel.
