Brother to sew sales increase

CHINA’S home sewing machine sales will surge 60 percent in the three years until 2015, a market leader estimated yesterday.
Sales will hit 600,000 machines in 2015, up from 350,000 units last year, Brother International said. The Japanese company, which sold almost 100,000 units in China last year, expects to see sales grow 35-40 percent annually by 2015.
Brother debuted two high-end electronic sewing models in Shanghai yesterday.
