Deal to tap demand for robotics
A Chinese company from Shenyang in Liaoning Province is to acquire 100 percent of a German vocational training institution, the Sino-German Siasun Education Technology Group said yesterday.
The group is a joint venture between China’s leading industrial robot manufacturer Shenyang Siasun Robot and Automation Co and a local consultancy firm.
“We will not only make use of the training expertise of Teutloff Vocational Training Education Group, but also provide training in robotics and smart manufacturing that are in urgent demand,” said Fan Cunyan of the group.
Skilled technicians are in short supply in China and the German group is renowned for its mechanical engineering training.
