Firm eyes sales increase

PERKINELMER Inc aims to boost annual sales in China to US$300 million by 2015, its China chief Nam-Hoon Kim said yesterday, as the US health and industrial sciences company opened a new China headquarters in Shanghai.
China sales are expected to reach US$200 million this year, accounting for 10 percent of the New York-listed company's global total.
PerkinElmer, which makes scientific and medical testing equipment as well as environmental safety monitoring products, continues to look for acquisition opportunities in China, Chairman and CEO Robert Friel said.
