Fuji Xerox sees China revenue topping US$1b in 3 years

FUJI Xerox Co Ltd expects its Chinese revenue to grow 30 percent annually to hit 100 billion yen (US$1.25 billion) within the next two or three years, through increased distribution channels and a growing client base, the company said today in Shanghai.

The Chinese revenue of Fuji Xerox, a joint venture between Japan-based Fuji and US-based Xerox, was 60 billion yen in 2011.

"China has become our biggest profit engine. It's the only region with an annual growth rate of over 20 percent in the past four years in Fuji Xerox's global business," Xu Zhenggang, Fuji Xerox China's chief executive and president said today.

The company now provides multi-function printers used in offices, printing materials and related services.

Between 2012 to 2014, Fuji Xerox will expand its sales channels in China to cover more regions and strengthen its direct sales division, Xu said without providing more details.

The company will also tap into strategic sectors like manufacturing, financial industries, state-owned firms and government bureaus. Additionally, it aims to develop new clients like advertising agencies and data centers, Xu added.

At present, Fuji Xerox has three factories in China – in Suzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai.
