Interroll鈥檚 orders up 32.7%

The Interroll Group said yesterday that the booming e-commerce sector and food processing industry in China boosted its orders by 32.7 percent in 2013.
Ben Xia, group executive vice president and head of Interroll Asia, attributed the company’s expansion to the “explosive growth” in the e-commerce sector which uses automation solutions to facilitate surging turnover and counter rising labor costs.
“We expect the growth in demand for products, technology and solutions related with internal logistics in China to continue its strong momentum in the coming few years, which will drive Interroll’s rapid expansion here,” he said.
Also yesterday, Switzerland-based Interroll inaugurated the company’s new Asia headquarters in Shanghai.
