THE ebm-papst Group, the world's leading maker of electric motors and fans, has boosted its research and development presence in China with the opening of a new development center in Shanghai.
The Mulfingen, Hohenlohe, Germany-based firm has invested more than 5 million euros (US$6.48 million) in the R&D center located in Waigaoqiao. It currently generates revenue of around 150 million euros in China, where it employs 1,200 people.
