Hisense’s new engine

HISENSE Group expects a new growth engine in business-oriented services embracing transport, medical and optical communications, the home appliance manufacturer said yesterday.

In the first three quarters, Hisense’s B2B (business-to-business) business contributed 27 percent of the group’s revenue of 78.5 billion yuan (US$11.6 billion), with this year’s revenue predicted at 100 billion yuan. The B2B business also brought in 38 percent of profit in the same period.

More than 100 cities have adopted Hisense’s smart transport systems while over 100 hospitals are using its digital medical systems for better diagnosis and surgery preparations.
