Kantar Media acquires FishEye Analytics of Singapore to extend Asian presence
MEDIA research and analytics company Kantar Media said it has acquired social media monitoring start-up FishEye Analytics to extend its social media measurement capabilities.
The move follows Kantar Media's takeover of Chinese social media insight company CIC among rising demand for social media analytics, and also reflects the strategic priority of Asian businesses for Kantar Media.
"We're delighted to combine our data and tools and help companies grasp the opportunities of social business and leverage the power of Internet word of mouth," global CEO of Kantar Media Andy Brown said in a statement yesterday.
FishEye Analytics' capability is expected to combine with CIC's intelligence to boost Kantar Media's services with strengthened language expertise and social media field analyzing technologies.
FishEye Analytics is based in Singapore and will continue to provide Kantar Media clients with analysis of brand discussions that take place online and offline.
