Q: Shanghai government slapped a series of taxes and other levies on real estate transactions in June. Can you estimate the high-end residential rental market?
A: The real estate market in Shanghai responds to government moves. But leasing became popular because of the unclear policy, so renting a house is the primary choice now.
Q: Does the Expo Shanghai influence the rental market?
A: World Expo has attracted a great number of short-term tenants. Hotel and serviced apartments which provide short-term facilities have risen between 50 to 80 percent. Consequently, long-term residential property rentals are also up. But Fullhome's experienced property consultants are good at finding the right homes and getting the best prices for our clients.
