City sees 147 projects offer discounts this month

A total of 147 residential projects -- 102 apartments and 45 villas -- will offer discounts this month in Shanghai, a decrease of six from July, according to Soufun.com.
By proximity to the city center, almost 80 percent of those projects are located beyond the Outer Ring Road.
Villas and high-end apartment projects provide larger discounts than mid- to low-end housing developments, Soufun research showed. Of the 147 projects, about one third will offer a price cut of no more than 4 percent.
