Construction begins on plaza in Lujiazui

CONSTRUCTION started yesterday on Lujiazui Financial Plaza as Shanghai's high-profile financial zone expands eastward.
The complex is close to Next Age Department Store and will feature three office buildings, a shopping mall and a four-floor underground parking lot.
Construction on the building is expected to be finished in 2018. Officials declined to disclose how much the project will cost.
The project covers 450,000 square meters of floor space. Lujia-zui area has about 10 million square meters of office floor space.
