Discounted projects may hit low

THE number of residential projects offering buyer discounts may hit a 23-month low in Shanghai next month, according to Soufun.com.
China's largest real estate website is predicting that 87 apartment projects and 51 villa developments will be offering discounts in June. That would be one-third fewer than a year earlier and 24 fewer than this month.
The Pudong New Area continues to lead all other districts of Shanghai in discounted housing prices, with 33 projects, trailed by the outlying districts of Jiading and Qingpu.
