Greenland partners China Southern
SHANGHAI Greenland Group Co yesterday agreed to form a strategic partnership with China Southern Airlines as the local developer moves to further enhance its core competitiveness and boost business growth.
Greenland will work with the country’s largest airline to develop mixed-use real estate projects in or around airports. Initially, the two companies will focus on Shenyang, Harbin, Changchun and Dalian.
“As planned, Greenland will proceed with its strategy to further expand its operation of industry-themed real estate development, which will primarily focus on airport, finance, cultural and creative industries as well as high-tech industry this year,” Zhang Yuliang, president of Greenland, said yesterday.
“Such a partnership will allow both companies to leverage and optimize each other’s resources and further sharpen their competitive edges to sustain future business growth.”
Greenland, which signed a similar deal with China Eastern Airlines in August, said this week that it sees its operational income to rise to 400 billion yuan (US$66 billion) this year from 330 billion yuan in 2013.
