Hilton's 4,000th hotel opens in Shijiazhuang

HILTON Worldwide, the world's largest hotel group in number of rooms, opened its 4,000th hotel today in the city of Shijiazhuang in northern Hebei Province and bringing its China properties to 35.
"2013 has been an exceptional year so far for our company, and the 4,000th hotel milestone confirms our commitment to be the world's preeminent hospitality company," said Christopher J. Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton Worldwide. "Given the strength of our pipeline, we expect continued rapid growth this year and into the future."
Hilton Worldwide operates 4,000 hotels in 90 countries and territories under different brands, covering luxury to mid-priced markets. It also has nearly 1,000 hotels, or over 176,000 rooms, under various stages of development.
