Property fair expects to draw more potential buyers
AROUND 200 companies, including major property developers and immigration consultants from around the world, will take part in a real estate fair in Shanghai, with locally-based Greenland Group showcasing more than 20 domestic and overseas real estate projects.
The fair is expected to draw more potential buyers compared with a similar event held earlier this year, according to a latest survey conducted by Soufun.com, operator of the country’s largest real estate website.
Over 56 percent of nearly 1,000 people interviewed by Soufun ahead of the fair said they will attend the four-day event, which opens at the Shanghai Exhibition Center today.
That compared with 48 percent of respondents who registered prior to the Spring Real Estate Fair, which was held at the same venue in mid-March.
More than half of the respondents in the latest survey said they are keen to know the direction of home prices while over 27 percent want to know if developers are offering discounts.
