Pudong set to lead fall in housing supply
NEW home supply in Shanghai may drop next month with Pudong New Area continuing to take the lead, according to Soufun.com.
The city's property market will see the introduction of 26 residential projects - consisting apartments and villas - in September, the operator of the country's largest real estate website said yesterday in its latest research. The number is a plunge from 48 developments said to hit the market this month and a drop from 44 projects released in September 2011.
Across the city, Pudong will see five developments, closely trailed by the districts of Baoshan, Jiading, Minhang and Qingpu, with each set to offer three projects for sale, Soufun data showed.
By proximity to city center, 16 projects, or 62 percent of the developments, will be located beyond Shanghai's Outer Ring Road.
