SOHO China Ltd, a major commercial real estate developer in China, has recently launched SOHO 3Q, a new online-to-offline office product, in both Beijing and Shanghai in its latest trial to embrace the increasing demand of mobile working.

Initially, the company has introduced more than 600 seats each in Wangjing SOHO in Beijing and SOHO Fuxing Plaza in Shanghai, while another eight projects of this kind are scheduled to be available to the market by the end of this year in the two cities, according to Pan Shiyi, chairman of SOHO China.

Among those, the biggest one will be in Bejing and have a gross floor area space of around 28,000 square meters, Pan said.

"Demand for mobile working has been growing rapidly in recent years and SOHO 3Q is our first attempt to cater to this segment of the office market," Pan said. "With this new product, we hope to provide a platform for our customers where they can meet people with different professional backgrounds and exchange their ideas freely in a vibrant and casual working environment."

Customers can book SOHO 3Q offices for a minimum one week and a maximum three months and the entire booking process, including the payment, will be completed online.

The product is mainly targeting start-up companies as well as business travelers who has short-term office leasing demand and prefer not to work in their hotel rooms during their trip to other cities, the company said.
