Sales of pre-owned luxury properties reach high

SALES of pre-owned luxury properties reached a record high in Shanghai last month, with the Pudong New Area being the most popular among affluent home buyers.
Sales of 628 luxury houses priced above 8 million yuan (US$1.3 million) each were sold in June, the highest monthly volume registered in the city, Shanghai Deovolente Realty Co said in a report released yesterday. The sales compared with 512 luxury homes in May and 121 in June 2014.
Lujiazui and Lianyang, both in Pudong, were the most sought-after areas with 52 and 47 luxury homes sold respectively.
