Shanghai to see 62 housing projects in Q1

NEW homes totaling 1.3 million square meters are set to be released in Shanghai in the first quarter of this year, little changed from the same period a year earlier.
Thirteen housing projects will be launched this month while another 28 will be rolled out in March, according to latest research released by Soufun.com, operator of the country's largest real estate website, yesterday.
January saw the release of 21 housing developments.
Ten of the 62 projects, which include apartments and villas, are medium to low-end homes targeting budget-tight first-time buyers, Soufun said.
