Shanghai's land sales decline in February
LAND sales fell in Shanghai in February as the Spring Festival holiday kept developers away.
A total of 344,400 square meters of land parcels, excluding those for public use, were sold in the city last month, down 3 percent from January, Soufun.com said yesterday in a report. By value, the plots were sold for 3.67 billion yuan (US$584 million), a monthly fall of 28.9 percent.
For the first two months, 699,400 square meters of land plots were sold in Shanghai for 8.82 billion yuan, up 6.6 percent and 53.4 percent annually.
