Vanke weathers chill

CHINA Vanke, the nation's largest listed property developer, yesterday said sales last month fell 12 percent from a year earlier to 12.5 billion yuan (US$1.96 billion).
Vanke sold 1.08 million square meters of property during the month, down 4.9 percent from a year ago, it said in a statement.
In the nine months ending September 30, it sold a total of 8.4 million square meters of housing and recorded sales revenue of 97 billion yuan.
