Airbus contract

HARBIN Hafei Airbus Composite Manufacturing Center, Airbus's latest joint venture in China, has signed a contract for the work package of A350 XWB belly fairing parts with Spain-based Alestis Aerospace.
The center will become the sole supplier of the A350 XWB belly fairing parts to Alestis which will be responsible for the design, material review and configuration of the parts and the design of the processes and tooling. Production in China is expected to start in 2012 after an initial industrialization phase in Europe.
The parts manufactured in China will be shipped to Spain to be integrated onto the complete belly fairing.
