BOC Aviation orders 50 A320s
BOC Aviation, the Singapore-based aircraft leasing subsidiary of Bank of China, has placed a new order with Airbus for 50 A320 series of aircraft, the European firm said yesterday.
The order, with a total value of US$5 billion, includes 25 new A320neo aircraft that will enter service from late 2015. Including the purchase deal, BOC Aviation's orders for new Airbus aircraft has hit 187, of which 131 have already been placed with airlines. BOC Aviation is the largest Asia-based aircraft leasing firm and will be marking its 20th anniversary this year.
