Deal set to boost bilateral trade

SINOTRANS Eastern Co, the Shanghai-based unit of Sinotrans & CSC Holdings, has sealed a deal on logistics supply chain cooperation with Canadian partners to boost bilateral trade.
Sinotrans yesterday signed the memorandum of understanding with CentrePort Canada, the only inland port in the country, and INVENT, a company specializing in radio-frequency identification technology which is used to ensure the security of shipments as well as verify the quality and origin of the product. CentrePort Canada is seeking to bolster the exports to China of Canadian products such as grain, timber and beef.
