CHINA Eastern Airlines expects its 2010 profit to be 10 times that of a year ago due to rising passengers on a growing economy, the World Expo and the takeover of Shanghai Airlines, the carrier said yesterday.
The airline's profit in 2009 was 540 million yuan (US$82 million), the Shanghai-based company said in a preliminary statement to the Shanghai Stock Exchange yesterday.
