Eaton hopeful
DIVERSIFIED industrial manufacturer Eaton Corp plans to increase China sales to US$2 billion by 2015, doubling from its 2010 revenue of US$1 billion in the country.
The nation's economic growth and emphasis on energy-efficient infrastructure will continue to provide business opportunities for Eaton, Chairman and CEO Alexander Cutler said yesterday in Shanghai.
Eaton and the Commercial Aircraft Corp of China in June launched a conveyance joint venture to support China's C919 program.
Craig Arnold, vice chairman of Eaton, said the joint venture will generate US$2 billion of sales for Eaton after 2016.
