Final tests for ARJ21
CHINA'S civil aviation regulator yesterday launched the final flight test certification on the country's first homegrown passenger jet, the ARJ21-700, in northwest China.
Two officials from the Civil Aviation Administration of China flew the 90-seat regional plane made by the Commercial Aircraft Corp of China for two hours, taking off and landing at an airport in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province mainly to check aircraft's speed control, COMAC said.
The final test will include another about 500 checks, COMAC added.
But the CAAC didn't say how long it will take to complete the tests before issuing the final certification.
